Ontario Council was created to:
To promote cooperation and facilitate communication of information and ideas among CFUW Clubs in Ontario. To promote the policies and programmes of CFUW. To encourage and initiate studies with respect to matters of a provincial nature. To make representation to the appropriate provincial authorities consistent with Ontario Council policy. To promote cooperation and facilitate communication of information and ideas among CFUW Clubs and AFDU Associations in Quebec. To promote the policies and programs of CFUW. To consider and, if deemed advisable, to make representation or approve representations which any member Club may wish to make to appropriate authorities with respect to matters of general interest, national or provincial, but always consistent with the policies of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) and the Quebec Provincial Council. To assist Quebec clubs to make any recommendation to the CFUW Executive on matters of particular interest to Clubs in cases where the Quebec Clubs may deem it appropriate.

The Atlantic Regional Council of the Canadian Federation of University Women was formed in 1988 to help improve communication, cooperation, and friendship among CFUW clubs in the four Atlantic provinces, and to promote the policies and programs of CFUW.
